Children of Neom Oasis

SPECULATIVE FICTION By Liora Yoael

Minority Report meets Tomi Adeyemi’s Children of Blood and Bone, only in the Middle East, weaving in the fraught relationship of a Jewish and Palestinian Romeo and Juliet.

Today, New Strip State is a utopian dream―a megacity of the future yet to be built in the Middle East desert. In CHILDREN OF NEOM OASIS, it’s already old. Sentient machines roam the desert searching for purpose; works of AI and biotech can be more deadly than weapons. Only the rekindling of an impossible love affair may slow the inevitable sands of time, weaving in the fraught relationship of a Jewish and Palestinian Romeo and Juliet.
Some elements of CHILDREN OF NEOM OASIS are inspired by contemporary events. The rest occur only in imaginary world inhabited by main characters, the psychic teen who hunts potential killers until she discovers the young man she loves might be her next target.

I could best do that by publishing my novel and dedicate it to those who continuing to re-imagine the world and looking to the hopeful future.
